The Moving Ahead 2010 Conference will offer many opportunities for you to see the latest advanced technology vehicles, to interact and network with other leaders in the transportation and energy industries and to impact the future of transportation.

Planned activities include:

  • Advanced Technology Vehicle Ride-and-Drive—Providing ride-and-drive opportunities in a variety of “green” passenger, fleet, truck and heavy-duty vehicles

    Ohio Expo Center on the Ohio State Fairgrounds
    An exciting component of Moving Ahead 2010 will be the Advanced Technology Vehicles Ride-and-Drive. With support from the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA), Ohio State University and Clean Fuels Ohio will provide conference attendees, dignitaries, media and  fleet personnel opportunities to drive (or ride in) a wide range of light, medium and heavy-duty advanced technology vehicles.
    We expect 25 vehicles, including:
    Hybrid shuttle bus from Azure Dynamics
    Plug-in hybrid fleet vehicle from Bright Automotive—IDEA
    Two CNG vehicles from Fiat-Chrysler
    Natural Gas Powered Refuse Truck from City of Columbus
    GM—Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell Vehicle
    Propane Ambulette  from MedCorp
    Hybrid landscape dump truck from Navistar/International
    Three Ohio State research vehicles including a Plug-in Prius (conversion) and Fuel Cell powered low-speed electric vehicle
    Plug-in Dedicated Electric Class 5,6, and 7 Box Truck from Smith Electric Vehicles
    48 volt electric pickup truck from Star Electric Vehicles
    Three Vehicles from Toyota including a factory-built plug-in Prius,  Hybrid Highlander and Hybrid Camry
    Natural gas powered Chevy Impala from Natural Drive
    Two electric vehicles from American Electric Power
    Three Ford vehicles
    Three Honda vehicles
    Roush propane vehicle
